HONEY

You can buy honey from the Cooperative or the producers. The production is relatively small and the cost fluctuates in higher levels than the market.

OLIVE OIL

The main product of Kytherian farmer is the oil. You will meet many extents with olive groves on Kythera. The olive flourishes in the island because of the good climate. The variety is "koroneiki". There are two rural cooperatives which produce olive oil.

WINE

Kytherians compliment themselves for the wine. It happens when they are company friends to have a dinner and begin to praise themselves, each one for ones own wine, to compare and in the end to withdraw all joyful and muzzy! The varieties that are cultivated in Kythera are petrolanos, roditis, arikaras e.t.c. Kythera production is usually white or knot wine. Each summertime the feast of Wine take place in Mitata.

Kytherians also produce cheese, rusks and traditional sweets. You can go to the markets of island to buy aromatic herbs, almonds, pears in various varieties e.t.c.
